Deleted plays stay deleted. Fixed a bug where plays you deleted showed up in your history again. This happened because they were never deleted from Trakt, so the daily Trakt check brought them back.
Deletes sync with Trakt. When you delete something from your watch history, it now syncs with Trakt immediately. If Trakt can not be reached, it tries again the next time you open the app.
Continue Watching no longer loses shows. Sometimes a show you were partway through disappeared from Continue Watching and only came back after you marked another episode. This happened when the app asked for your next episode and got no answer. The show now stays in its spot and says "Checking next episode…" until the app gets a real answer.
Fewer failed lookups at launch. When the app opens, Continue Watching looks up the next episode for every show you are watching while Trakt is also syncing. The database the app gets its show info from only answers so many requests at once, so some shows got no answer. It now looks up a few shows at a time with a short pause in between, so the page fills in correctly the first time more often.

Continue Watching is the new home screen. The home page used to have both a Continue Watching and a History section. Both were already pages in the app, and looking up Continue Watching twice was slowing the app down. Now it has its own tab and the app opens with it. It lists every show you have started that has a new episode ready to watch.
Continue Watching does movies too. There's a new Movies button next to TV. If you have started any part of a movie series, the next film in that series now shows up once it has premiered. It is sorted the same way as TV shows, with the series you watched most recently at the top.
Continue Watching is quicker. It now starts looking up your shows and movies as soon as you log in, before anything else loads. Three dots blink next to the title while working, then change to the total shows or movies ready to watch. The page also no longer reloads every time you visit the page.
Hide shows on Continue Watching page. Continue Watching cards now have the same door icon as the Movies and TV cards. Hide a show and it leaves Continue Watching and the browse pages. You can now hide a whole movie series at once, including sequels that come out later. Settings lets you filter hidden items by TV, Movies or Movie Series, and unhiding a series brings every movie back. Hiding never removes anything from your history or stats.
Movies tab has changed. Trending and Top Rated buttons now only list movies you can stream. Movies that are only in theaters, for purchase, or rent only have moved to their own button now named "Theaters/Rent/Buy."
Watched movies in a series are now marked. On the movie title page, when you have seen any movie of the series it is now outlined in green.
TV Shows now leave your watchlist once you start them. Marking a single episode as watched now takes the show off your watchlist. Shows you had already started that are still on your watchlist stay there until you mark another episode, or you can remove them yourself.
Only TMDB ratings are shown. Showing IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores requires a paid service. To keep the app free without paywalls, TMDB is the only rating shown.
Your hours are now more accurate. When a movie or episode had no runtime listed, the app would just use an average. Real runtimes are now looked up instead, so your totals may change. Mine dropped by about 278 hours.
App opens faster and with no internet. The app used to download part of itself every time you opened it, so with no connection it would not start at all. App now opens and functions without internet, but things like search and new photo cards will not show.
Browsing is faster. Filtering by Netflix or any other service is now quick and misses nothing because the full catalog is collected quietly in the background before you ask. Fixed a bug where the TV Shows and Stats pages were slowing down as your watch history grew.
Trakt stays connected. Trakt logins expire every 7 days, and the app never renewed them, so syncing would quietly stop. It now renews on its own and tells you if a renewal ever fails. Uploading your history also used to drop repeat watches, so anything you had seen twice only showed up once on Trakt. That is now fixed. Anything you backdate on Trakt now comes down to the app too.
Uses a fraction of the disk space. The app's cache was storing data for every country, not just yours. Mine dropped from 211MB to 7MB.
The tab bar fits any window size. When the window got narrow, the tabs on the right and the zoom controls were cut off. The tabs now move to a second line and nothing gets cut off. The app window now has a minimum size so it can not be dragged smaller than the app can show. Settings is reached from the gear icon only.

Faster startup. For safety I had the app write to disk on every settings change. It just never batched, so they piled up. Opening the app was re-saving the entire settings file hundreds of times before it could draw the first screen. It now saves once after the changes settle. There is a forced save if the window closes, so nothing can be lost. Home, Movies and TV Shows all load noticeably quicker.
Stats. Announced episodes that have not aired yet no longer "exist" to the app, so stats and watch percentages are not affected.
Episode totals refresh on their own. A show's episode count used to be saved once at the time you first watched the show and never updated unless you opened that show's main page again. So, percentages drifted and were able to be over 100%. They now refresh in the background after a week.
Fixed wrong Next Up episodes. When a request to the database failed, the app treated it as proof the episode did not exist and skipped ahead to the wrong season. Failed requests are now recognized as failures, so nothing wrong is shown or saved.
Fewer failed requests. Opening the app used to fire a lookup for every show in your history at once, which the database rate limited. Lookups now occur in small groups. That burst and the limit at the open was causing wrong episodes to show.
Episode cast update. The cast list was listing the show's main cast, identical on every episode. Guest stars are now included, so the actors actually in that episode appear.
Hours watched on every actor. The hours watched badge was capped at the first 15 actors listed for each episode page and movie page. Every actor with watched hours now gets one.
Watched history file split in two. Guest star and crew details moved into their own file. Opening will be quicker, and marking an episode watched went from about three quarters of a second to about a sixth.
